①礼拝堂と併せて、複数の礼拝や集会を行うことができる。

現在、日曜午前の2回の礼拝のほか、英語／バイリンガルと中国語の礼拝や集会を行なっている。

 
②国内外の教会からの短期チームを受け入れるために、10数名が滞在できる

(現在年5回程度)。この際、チームが周辺諸教会にも奉仕するための拠点となる。

   
③地域の方々が利用可能なスペースを提供する。

 

Zao Christ Church gathers for two Sunday morning services (in Japanese), in addition to meeting for our bilingual Japanese/English service and Chinese service. Throughout the year, various other gatherings and events are also held both in the Chapel and Education Building. Our Education Building currently houses the church offices for church staff. We gather here for staff meetings, lunch fellowship, and other gatherings. It is also the place where short-term mission teams stay when they come to partner with us. Our ministry continues to welcome short-term teams, about 5 teams a year, both from churches in Japan and abroad.  

 

Together with our Chapel, which is our current sanctuary, the new building would enable us to host more services, community outreach events, and fellowship gatherings in larger capacities.  For our missions teams, we would be able to provide better accommodations that are more spacious and comfortable (better insulated). The new facility would be able to accommodate about 10 people and to serve as a base for teams serving other churches in the area as well. 

 

We also envision the new facility to be a place that can be used by the larger Yamagata community in whatever ways the Lord leads.  We anticipate God working greatly through this and are excited to embark on these next steps.
